Happy 4th of July

What a great and fun weekend it was!

With it starting on Friday the boys all slept in while momma ran my first Wawasee Flotilla Road Race.
It will be my new tradition, as it is ran always on the morning if the 4th. They offer a 3.3 miles run/walk and a 8 mile run. I chose to run the 8 miler.
The course took us around one if our local golf courses, we had views of both Syracuse and Wawasee Lake.
Spectators came out and sat in their driveways, yards and porches with coffee in hand to watch everyone go by.
I have ran the area before so I knew exactly what to expect. It also felt like one of my most strongest and best runs I have had. (Thanks to AdvoCare)
My goal was 1:30 and my watch said 1:28. Awesome!! This was a non-bib, non-timed race but one of my favorites.

Friday was work around the house day, boys played out side, boating, swimming.  Dewey's request was a campfire. We enjoyed the neighbors fireworks from the comfort of the fire and our backyard.

Sat we had our best friends down and hit the lake.

Dewey and Declan got to swim and hangout with their best buddies, it was a great afternoon.
And.... Of course headed back home to grill out some serious food and head to Aunt Karens on Wawasee for their fireworks.

Next door neighbor had a live band. My cousins, aunt/uncle were there. It was so fun. Dancing, snacking, watching the boat gather in.

What a show!!! We got home WAY passed everyone's bed time. We all snuggled in Dewey's bed for a bit, and let them all sleep in the morning.  I headed to church to serve in the nursery and the boys spent the morning together.

WHAT A GREAT WEEKEND! I hope you were able to make some great memories with your family. I know we did!
